Privacy Policy

At MTC, we respect your privacy and take the responsibility of protecting the personal information that you share with us very seriously. We will never sell, rent or trade any personal information placed by members to any third party. We simply don’t do it.

 

We also will attempt through our best efforts to limit all non-therapists from joining by restricting access to our services by the below methods:

MTC Access Restrictions:

  • Admin and Moderators have unfettered access to all areas of the site and may edit forum postings and content.
  • Confirmed Members have unfettered access to the site.  Confirmed Membership is bestowed to those Members who provide validation to MTC and/or through our Membership "Vouching" system.  Confirmed Members may Vouch for others who they specifically know to be a therapist.  A certain number of vouches is required to transition a New Member to a Confirmed Member, and validating information may still be required by MTC to confirm this status.  Moderators are only at the discretion of the Administrator.
  • New Members may view all content of the site.  New Members may not provide their ratings nor post in the forums, nor have the ability to email other members through MTC's internal email system.  (This attempts to limit illicit sign-ups which can then SPAM MTC's Members and/or tarnish the validity of its ratings and other therapist-provided information.)
  • Companies/Service Providers/Facility Personnel cannot view any member information and have restricted access to all Member areas.  Companies DO have access to their individual company page and blog.  Comments Users make about companies will be posted on these pages, though the Comments will have no identifying member information (no pictures, screen names or real names).
  • Members who email companies have their profile ppicture and screen name/real name blocked, to allow members to obtain information from companies anonymously.  Again, this is to protect members from being marketed/spammed, when all they seek is answers.


The MTC Privacy Policy is based on four basic principles:

  1. We only ask for personal information if we need it to provide the service you request.
  2. We will take all reasonable efforts to restrict access to your personal identifying information you provide. (Please see above Access Restrictions)
  3. We will always give you the option to edit the information that you've provided to us or to have your personal information removed from our records.  Additionally, YOU determine what information you post can be viewed by others via our privacy settings area. 
  4. Except for the Profile Information that YOU choose to provide, all information you submit (ratings, comments, etc)  is combined with other Members' submissions, and will only be displayed in an anonymous, cummulative format.

MTC does collect statistical information, such as the number of members in a city or traffic to various MTC pages, in order to track trends and preferences of our members. This information enables us to make our site as relevant and meaningful as possible.

MTC reserves the right to amend this Privacy Policy at any time, but will provide notice on the MTC website. Only the current Privacy Policy may be deemed effective.
